Broken Hourglass
Circle of life
Loop of history
Heroes and evil,
Enemies and friends
Full turn of time;
The hourglass drops –
Dead glass shatters,
Sands flow away
Aftermath of war
Welcomes depravity
Dead ones rise
Revenge is being called.
Coming from a voice of reason
Reality takes hold once more.
Many voices raised in bloodlust –
But more heed a different cry.
Can peace break through
This cycle of violence?
Violins play tunes of sadness.
Sands of time spiral in the wind.
When will the hourglass be turned?

History is doomed to repeat itself, so long as we refuse to learn it. It's a strong poem, it's a longer poem of yours, and I think you should write a few more. It was rather nice. Very descriptive.
